After Christmas, Michael and I headed out on a little vacation to warmer temperatures. Our first destination was Zion National Park in Utah. It was one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. We spent our days hiking and enjoying the outdoors. One of my favorite parts was staying at Zion Mountain Ranch. It was complete with log cabins, roaming buffalo, and a seemingly endless sky of stars! It was truly an escape from the hustle and bustle of Dallas.
On New Year's Day, we headed to the Grand Canyon! Along the way we drove through the deserts of Arizona. It was quite a long drive, but it was worth every mile to stand on the rim of the Grand Canyon to ring in the New Year and marvel in God's beautiful creation!!
We ended our trip with a couple of relaxing days in Sedona, AZ. We were once again surrounded by beautiful scenery of red rocks and warm afternoons by the pool :)
We were truly thankful for our vacation! It was precious time for us before our Baby Girl arrives in April :)
We were so thankful to spend Christmas in Iowa with the newest addition to our family...Adrianna Mae! Since Michael and I are both on school schedules, we got to spend an entire week at home giving us lots of time with our family and friends. This will truly be a Christmas we always remember since it was the first one with a little baby. She brought so much joy to our Christmas and made it incredibly special. I loved seeing my brother and sister-in-law as new parents. And my parents...they are loving every minute of being grandma and grandpa. It is truly beautiful! I also loved seeing Michael with Adrianna. She captured his heart very quickly :) We were truly thankful for the sweet time we had with our family. Thanks to mom and dad for making it a wonderful Christmas!!
