Nolan David: 5 Months

Nolan David,

Month 5 is in the running for one of our most exciting months yet! You had many first achievements this month, and we learned we would be moving to Iowa. Needless to say, it was a busy month. 

You are growing before our eyes. We love all your rolls and squashy-ness :) You are 18 pounds...and counting...of pure joy!!

This month you had your first plane ride, went on your first family vacation, and met your cousins. We traveled to Rapid City for the 10th Kreger Family Reunion. You took your first plane ride like a champ!! We had the best time, and it was so fun to introduce you to everyone. You met your snuggle quota many times over!!

Oh, we just flew on a plane? I was asleep the whole time :) 

Please don't make me go on a long car ride :(

When we got home from vacation, we celebrated your first 4th of July! And then we started packing up our apartment. Thankfully you provided the best entertainment amidst boxes and bubble wrap!

 Your daddy finished his counseling hours this month, and it was a big deal!! Along with this came a new job in Iowa, so we celebrated big time! A sweet friend took some family pictures for us before we left. After all, you and Katherine will always be little Texans, so I wanted to make sure we documented life in Dallas :)

This picture cracks me up! Katherine was trying so hard to hold you, but you are a big boy :) 

You and your sister continue to love each other's company. She is counting down the days until you can crawl and chase after her :)

Your daddy describes you best when he says you can't look at a human face without smiling! You have such a sweet little spirit. You are truly a gift, and I love doing life with you! 

Nolan David: 4 Months

Nolan David, 

 

I can hardly believe that I am typing your 4-month post (2 months late)!! This month has brought more and more smiles, and we heard you laugh for the first time! It truly is music to our ears!! You have become quite the night owl. Sometimes you stay up until 10:00 or 11:00, and you just get happier and sillier as the night goes. Your best giggles come after 8:00 p.m. Sleeping long stretches at night just isn't your jam, but we are working on it! You had your first taste of baby food this month. Sweet potatoes and bananas seem to be your favorite.

Peek-a-boo!

 We celebrated your awesome daddy on Father's Day. You love him so very much!! He was on the receiving end of your very first belly laugh :)

Your neck has continued to get stronger! You seem to enjoy your exercises now and love when I sing songs to you to distract you. Your sister helps with this as well and says, "Good job, buddy!" You also rolled to your side for the first time this month, and you love to grab your toys. Oh, and the drool! You can soak through clothes like it is your job.

Nolan David, you are pure joy! You are my little buddy, and I love learning more about you each day! Happy 4 months to you!!
