Katherine Ann: 4 Months

My Dearest Katherine Ann,

You are 4 months! This month has been filled with family, friends, vacation, giggles, and your first airplane ride. From the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee to the beautiful corn fields of Iowa, you have become quite the little traveler. I loved every minute of our vacation together and will never forget the sweet memories we made.

This month started off with your first Fourth of July, date nights with your daddy and me, and settling into your new nursery.

Your Uncle Kyle made your changing table :)
Before we left on vacation, you graced us with your first little giggle. It was one of my favorite moments with you so far :)

Precious little girl, we are so in love your personality. We love the way you smile with your eyes. We love hearing your little voice as you talk to us throughout the day. We love the way you chew on your fingers. We love the way you have started playing with your hair. We love the way you smile and just wait for someone to smile back. We love the sound of your sweet giggles. We love the way you bring your hands together before you fall asleep. We love the little sigh that follows your big yawns. Baby girl, we love loving you!

This month we made so many memories during our trip to Tennessee for the 2014 Kreger Reunion. Your daddy and I were a little nervous about your first plane ride, but you did amazing!! Our week in the mountains was filled with family fun including your first hike and bonfire. Your cousins loved meeting you and getting to hold you as you showered them with smiles and giggles.

Matching hats with Papa!

After our reunion, we packed up and headed back to Iowa to meet more family and friends. Meeting your Great-Grandma, however, was first on the list. This year she will turn 97 and I was so excited for her to hold you. I will always cherish these precious moments in my heart.

Your awesome Aunt Angie planned an open house for you. It was a wonderful day and you were quite the social butterfly. It was a joy to see you smiling and laughing as you made new friends.

Your Aunt Angie is very talented. She made your cake and your fruit buggy!

I am so thankful you got the opportunity to meet my dear friends from back home and from college. It was such a special time to see our babies together. I am looking forward to many more wonderful gatherings so all the kids can become friends.

You had to take a little nap after your party :)

The rest of our time in Iowa was filled with family and your first trip to the zoo!

Your cousin was loving her dress :)
As we traveled back to Texas, we were blessed to bring a dear friend with us and meet more college friends. All of us moms might be secretly planning to have our kids attend Northwestern!! I can't wait to tell you stories of the 4 years I spent in the tiny Dutch town of Orange City, Iowa. My sweet baby, I pray you will one day have best friends to go through life together.

You and Julia became best buds!!

This month was filled with many wonderful memories and even sweeter people. Your daddy and I love you so very much!  Happy 4 Months!!
