We had such a fun week/weekend! Katie got to visit 2 pumpkin patches. The first one was not her favorite. Our little "city girl" didn't want to touch any of the pumpkins. She spent lots of time in the safety of daddy's arms. The 2nd pumpkin patch was more of a success. She still wasn't overly eager to touch the pumpkins, but she would sit by the pumpkins and ride in a wagon. It probably helped having her baby friends with her :)

The weather finally cooled down by Friday! We took advantage of the amazing weather and went to the Farmers Branch Bluegrass Festival. The Bluegrass Festival brought its A-game!! For starters, the whole thing was free! Free!!! Parking was even free with a complinmentary hayrack ride to transport you from the parking lot to the festival. I love the word free when it comes to planning our family fun nights.
Since the festival itself was free, we splurged and bought dinner from the yummy concession stands. I think bbq is a must when you listen to bluegrass music. The music was fantastic. There were little bluegrass bands playing all over the historic downtown along with the bigger bands on the main stage. Katie had a blast dancing to the music and making new friends with all the babies she met! We have a little social butterfly on our hands :)

Saturday I woke up with a cold...not so much fun...but we still enjoyed a laid back day of college football and another Ohio State victory. Michael is one proud daddy as Katie loves to say the word football, recognizes Ohio State football logos, and can pick Brutus out of a mascot lineup! Oh dear!! The weather was again beautiful so we took advantage of lots of outdoor playtime.
